The water flows across the rocks
Winding its way through twists
And unknown curves all around
I was there, part of the water
Yet neither the water, nor the rocks
Had much care about me
I was no longer part of their world
Forgotten somewhere along the way
My fate is not much different
Eventually I will pass through
Yet everything that makes this world
Will remain much the same forever
Someday after I realize the truth
The water will no longer be a stranger
I'll be one with the water and the rocks.

water flows over the rocks,
winds it's way, in between,
soft gurgling sounds and soothing melody,
but what does the water leave behind?
rocks: untouched and euphoria: momentary
permanence ? did you ask ?
is there such a thing as permanence ?
what do i mean to you ? anything ?
the rock casually ignores the water,
knowing it is but a transient experience
then several years get behind
and the rocks looks at itself
realization dawns... the rock has changed
every droplet of water that ever caressed it's surface has touched it and changed it in ways the rock could not have fathomed. the shape of the rock, it's very being, it owes to the millions of water droplets that made their giggling passage over it.
