Along Dawn's Highway

To my wonder I’m walking along dawn’s highway
Feeling the rhythm of life resonate within me
The majestic temperament of eternity with every step
We are journeying for a higher cause than this
What is shown to our mortal eyes is not reality
To whom does these words belong that I write away
If they are mine then who am I and what am I
What is my purpose in this distance that goes
I sense the divinity that unfolds within me
For each light that twinkles like a streetlamp
Showing me the way that leads me somewhere
Surely the road that lies ahead is not my cause
The directions of compassion, envy, lust and hate
Still remain at every milestone that I come across
What then, is the true cause behind my words
What are words and from where do they originate
Are they an expression of my every experience
Is life just a collection of experiences gathered
With every step that we walk into the darkness
The darkness of created knowledge and greed
Someday raising our head in fear to the sky above
To discover the starlight of Consciousness shining
Which remains conspicuously hidden from us
And what we choose to ignore for the laughter
Pathetically bought from the markets of desire
To find our true Self and retrace our Path
So long have we been striding into oblivion
Experience the infinity in the destiny that we share
Take a minute along this highway to feel the truth
The breeze of peace that blows in our face
Being the true nature that we were all born into
This is our destiny and our destination
The meaning and the higher cause of it all.
