Can I wonder why this thought remains still
For am I the same as what you are Brother
If so why do you hate me for not being you
Why is there a mine, and why is there a yours
If I am praying for my soul to be at peace
Am I not asking the same for yours too
Is she not the same Mother who gave you
The very Earth on which I tread upon
Then why do you ask for my blood ever more
Know on this day, that I shall not forsake you
Know that you are as much mine as I am yours
There will come a day when everything will pass
When nothing of yours and mine will remain
Ashes to ashes, dust to dust we shall be
Yet our brotherhood will never be conquered.
