Ghost Reader

A book of secrets yet to open
Sitting with no thoughts to watch
The tunes are some where far away
The wind is slowly blowing outside
Trying to turn the pages within
Where is the pain of yesterday
That was so comfortingly numb
I know everything is done today
With a deep sigh, shall I read
Every word in this book can reveal
The company of dead spirits rising
From whatever untold stories here
The evening is fast approcahing
A threat of darkness and dinner
Nudging me to leave curses behind
Tell me your tales of then and now
Listen I shall with deep reverence
And when the night falls finally
I shall pick up my torn books
And walk away into the fading mist

Faster and faster into this dream
Steps of vengeance shall I forsake
Why do you keep calling my name
Forgotten forever in this story
Is a character that I had played
Fortune and a tragic car crash
Is only three days apart for me
Destiny can play cruel games and
Sometimes a single game of them
Can hold the key to all of life
The spirit can read between lines
Does it rhyme, is there a reason
The thunder may roll outside and
Still I shall not stop reading
This fable is worth quite an end
Hush now, do not weep for my death
Tell me your tales of then and now
Listen I shall with deep reverence
And when the night falls finally
I shall pick up my torn books
And walk away into the fading mist
