Sunsets & Solitude

The setting sun shall hold sway
Over the frenzied emotions, of mine
Each day, in the mundane gray of life
The orange laughter in my head
And the violet furies of a tempest
So many people, so many points of control
Senses bordering on a dangerous hue
And then the evening of life
With the reversal of shades
Filled within, with a calm white
No more thoughts, no more ties
And the dance of colors before me
The orange and the violet of then
Brush-stroked to perfection
Sunsets and solitude
The solitude holds comfort, knowing
That in the eve of my life
I shall want nobody else
But myself.
