Musings of a Social Misfit

I fear those that have an opinion, a conclusion or a definition
Of every thought word and deed that brings out the world
They lack the sense of the right, the mystic intuition ancient
Keeping faith in the false gods, their rituals that mark an end
Of common logic and reason, that bends according to religion
Who is there to face the strength of the intellect, without care
Without any illusions clouding the perspective we carry on
Bringing in a change without even knowing the consequences

I fear the social clime, the abject wallowing in ignorance today
Another explanation is necessary to keep their minds intact
For how long are we to face their ridiculous march of deceit
The attack of money and power on the basic human nature
Forgetting our purest purpose to keep grinding in this rut
Of men do we state to belong, and yet of mules we resemble
What use is the pursuit of all that we see and hear and sense
When all we need is to realize the perfection that we are

I fear all these signs that keep me on the run, in this journey
For they reveal a hidden agenda, a concealing of my own self
Every corner rejects the idea of truth, every bewitching hour
Trying to understand is a lost cause in this realm of insanity
Rebelling shall bring down the system, but the roots remain
To sprout yet another day, with all its multitudes of schemes
In subjugation lies our fate, to every tongue that twists truth
Every common idea is fractured into many complex theories

I fear the stupidity of the vast majority, that which can kill
They do not realize the inherent danger, only the shining hell
Keeps their eyes glimmering, how then does the truth matter
Each new day and every new age is a recognition of the past
Of all that has been imagined to exist and yet maybe more
Pleasing every soul is beyond an impossibility, and yet we try
That which lies within us all is beyond mere sensory pleasure
Sadly, comprehending this fact is what remains far from us all
