The Last Act

Stillness seeps into the deep corners of my heart
Letting my thoughts subside into a lifeless throb
Whilst all the world keeps turning around daily
I have found the sentient peace that eludes us all
After putting all my desires and dues to its death
I am a long way from home, tired of traversing
The trajectories of fate, the twisted turns of life
Where does this reality end; and the truth begins
To uncover all the hidden agendas of this game
From one consequence to another, a circle of pain
Enlightenment is only a concept at the very end
For this game is to be played, without forfeiting
Any chances of learning all the lessons taught
Somehow the feeling lingers, the end is nearing
All that needs to be said and done, shall happen
In the same way all things in life fall into place
With this realization would I become estranged
To the turns of chance that we all were born into
I long to see the final play of that divine soul
The last act of salvation and the illusion fades
Curtain calls and a life lived well, purposefully
Once the laughter dies and the tears have dried
Without much ado, shall I bid you all farewell…
